9. What type of wood do you mainly use, and where do you source it from? We proudly use kiln-dried mango wood, sustainably sourced from local Kenyan farms. Once mango trees stop bearing fruit, they’re harvested and repurposed into beautiful, functional furniture. Yes. Wood at Mintari is required to have a very low moisture content of about 10-12%. This ensures a moisture-balance, pest-free wood that is highly resistant to cracking or warping. We effectively treat our wood chemically using human-friendly products. Please note that wood is an organic material. Although dried, it can still be affected by environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.
