The furniture manufacturing industry has often fallen short of sustainable options, usually putting style ahead of the environment. In our woodworking, our primary wood choice is mango wood. Mango wood is originally derived from the Mango tree and categorized as a hardwood due to its dense grains. It is highly sustainable due to its cultivation as a fruit tree. Mango wood is farmed here in Kenya, China and majorly in India. Creating our furniture from Mango wood is helping to relieve deforestation of endangered tree species and is considered a more sustainable wood option.

Mintari is a home furniture design and manufacturing company. We passionately focus on quality and contemporary design. Founded in 2019, in a garage in Nairobi, our company’s vision has been to modernize the furniture industry. Innovation is at the heart of every Mintari product. Our process begins by using the best materials and having a dedicated, talented and well trained team. We are devoted to crafting the highest quality home furniture. We differentiate ourselves by handcrafting all our designs. This allows us to maintain utmost control and integrity, while offering high quality, Kenyan made products at affordable prices.
